More paths to
get outside

My Outdoor Colorado (MOC) creates opportunities for members of the Cole and Westwood communities to find belonging, inspiration, joy, and healing in nature.

EXPLORE MORE

Since our start in 2016, we’ve:

We live in one of the most beautiful states in the country, but too many of our neighbors don’t get to experience the magic of the outdoors. We’re working together to change that.

Nature is for everyone

A trip leader, a teenager, and a young kid dressed in hiking gear study a trail map together.
A young girl with multicolored beads in her braids softly smiles at the camera. She wears purple unicorn overalls; behind her are green trees.
Two kids clipped into snowboards and wearing snow suits take a break to sit on the snowy mountain, the ski lift runs overhead behind them.

Explore. Connect. Ignite

We bring new opportunities to the neighborhood. We provide education, transportation, training, and gear so that everyone can feel confident and connected to explore.

WHAT WE DO

A line-drawn, grid-like graphic features abstract sketches of trees, water, the Denver skyline, mountains, as well as more literal icons like a carabiner, flower, star, and leaf.

Kind words from our community

"Being part of the Youth Advisory in Action Council (YAAC) gave me a space to grow as a leader, collaborate with others who care about community and the environment, and turn ideas into real action. More than anything, MOC has given me a sense of belonging. I’ve found a community here—people who understand the importance of equity in the outdoors and are committed to making a difference."

Kind words from our community

“It has been a very good experience to participate in MOC because it gives us the opportunity to learn about and enjoy outdoor activities available in our community, as well as recreational and cultural places. They also help teach our children—and ourselves—the value of caring for and appreciating nature and spending time outdoors.”

Kind words from our community

“I am so glad to sing the praises of My Outdoor Colorado. We have so much fun with the staff and the community with all the things that they offer. All the supplies that are needed for the trips are provided, including transportation.”
